Becky Chace
After years of fronting a band, Becky has decided to get stripped down for a while to explore her songwriting and see what she can do by herself. She's been voted Best Female Vocalist 5 times by the readers of the Providence Phoenix Music Poll, she's opened for national acts such as Joan Jett, America, Judi Collins and the Gin Blossoms, and she's released 5 independent CDs since 1998. Becky has been said to have "The voice of an angel who just got her heart ripped out by the devil," New Haven Advocate.
Kristi Martel
RI’s avant-soul piano diva Kristi Martel grew up in New England and earned an ASCAP grant and two music degrees (Bard and Mills College) before beginning her touring and recording career. Her sweet presence and fearless songwriting endear audiences nationwide. Her piano playing combines her love of blues dissonance and syncopation with her classical training. Her powerful voice is at once sweet and bitter, emotional and visionary, articulating prayers and quirky autobiographical narratives in the same breath. Through Sealed Lip Records she has released five CDs, most recently the demos for her forthcoming studio album, Ravengirl.
Ryan Fitzsimmons
Ryan Fitzsimmons is known for high-octane performance, compelling songwriting, and impressive guitar work. RI Motif voted him "Best Male Vocalist in Rhode Island" and his CD Open All Night won best CD in 2005. The Providence Phoenix has nominated him 3 times for Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter, and he won the NEMO/Starbucks Providence songwriting finals. He has been drawing crowds in venues such as Club Passim and Johnny D's in Boston, and opening for well-known artists such as Richie Havens and Ben Folds. "Often poetic, his words are accessible and real, and, backed by his elegant guitar, spin an intoxicating web." Stacia Waraska, Northeast Performer.
Chris Rosenquest
Chris pours his everyday life into power and passion. He constructs and deconstructs his world into some of the most pure and dark moments on stage. To understand his style, think of Damien Rice’s need for voice, John Fante’s need for words, a touch of funk, wrapped in a whole lotta folk. His list of influences reads like an open book into his nature, including Joseph Arthur, The Slip and Martin Sexton. Look for his new release with long time friend Jon Moore this summer.

Corinne Wahlberg
Corinne Wahlberg has been a fixture at the legendary Stone Soup Coffeehouse since she was ten years old, when the venue was located at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in downtown Providence. Her dad was a member of the church and often brought Corinne and her sister down to listen on Saturday evenings. Perhaps Corinne caught the music bug during those formative years. Now, at age twenty-two, she is writing songs and performing at small venues from New York City, where she attended college, to the coffeehouses and open mikes of Providence. To listen to Corinne is to hear a new sound: a mix of pop-folk with a tinge of Broadway. She paints vivid pictures of love and life with her observant, intelligent lyrics. From the truth behind those city pigeons to her poignant Shakespearean allusions, Corinne's compositions are turning listeners' ears her way.
