It’s that time once again to round
up volunteers for the 5th Annual Rhode Island Sustainability
Festival & Clean Energy Expo scheduled for June
3rd, 2006. Last year’s festival was a huge success,
in no small part due to the generous volunteers
who brought great energy and helping hands to the
site. Over 1,200 peopled enjoyed 2005 and we look
forward to even more attendance and fun in 2006.
Generally speaking, we have about 80 to 100 volunteer
shifts to fill, with tasks such as directing parking,
ticket taking, children’s activities, set up, etc.,
and each shift lasts about 4 hours. Volunteers are
rewarded for their efforts with free admission to
the festival and workshops, a Sustainable Living
Festival T-Shirt, free beverages during their shift,
and the feeling of knowing you’ve helped a great
cause!
If you would like to be put on the list as a volunteer,
please fill out our volunteer
form as soon as possible and e-mail it to
Matt
Stone, who is the volunteer coordinator
for the Festival. We will try to accommodate volunteers
regarding shift start-times and positions of interest.
Please note that people who are flexible as to time
of day and volunteer position will be assured a
