PROGRAMS
We currently have five major areas of focus:

Sustainable Rhode Island
Apeiron is at the center of a statewide effort to have sustainability principles be at the heart of ALL growth and development in the state, making Rhode Island a national leader and model “Sustainable” state.

Education Programs
We offer a variety of programs and events for people of all ages including school programs, fieldtrips, teacher trainings, and adult programs featuring a variety of workshops, speakers, and study circles.

The Rhode Island Sustainable Living Festival & Clean Energy Expo is Rhode Island’s premier event for Sustainable Living, combining educational workshops, children’s programs, vendors and exhibitors and the RI Junior Sprint Solar Car Race with live entertainment all in a fun family-friendly environment.

Center for Sustainable Living
The center is the premier educational facility in this state for energy conservation and environmental building technologies. The building uses almost 70% less energy than a traditional building its size, and showcases dozens environmentally friendly building technologies and products, an information resource center, and a 55-acre site with edible landscapes, miles of nature trails and plant ID signs, and a variety of wildlife.

The Sustainable RI Directory is a searchable website designed to provide easy access to sustainability related resources in your community. Topics from solar panels to organic foods to hybrid cars can be found with a simple point and click to your town on a map of the state.
