Here’s an interesting idea for bicyclists looking for a 45 mile ride with a fun party in the middle:
You are invited to be a part of the Second Annual Bike Train to the 2009 Rhode Island Sustainable Living Festival on June 6th and/or 7th.
On June 6 and 7, a set of cyclists including a trip leader will leave from the Providence
Train Station to ride to the Sustainable Living Festival at the Apeiron Institute in Coventry. All who register for the bike trains will receive free admission to the festival, goodies, and a chance to learn more about ways to live on gently on our earth. The first 50 cyclists who register will receive a free t-shirt (designed exclusively for bike train cyclists only). We ask you to pre-register so we will have a t- shirt for you in your correct size.
The Bike Train will leave from the Providence Railroad Station and proceed along the Washington Secondary Greenway collecting additional riders all along the way through Coventry to the Festival.
The train will pause at public parking lots on the route but riders can hop on board the train at any location along the bikepath.
