Site MapThe festival will take place at the Nickerson Community Center's Camp Hamilton, home of the Apeiron Institute for Sustainable Living in Western Coventry, Rhode Island, less than 10 miles from I-95 near the intersection of Routes 102 and 117.

 

The Apeiron site features beautiful 150+ year old pine forest, streams and fields, nature trails a variety of wildlife and our award winning Center for Sustainable Living. The center showcases over 50 "green" building technologies, systems and products. The festival takes place in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings including Apeiron's Center, Nickerson Buildings, the main field, tented areas, wooded camp sites, and the children's playground. All areas are covered so the festival can run smoothly regardless of weather!

 

To keep the site automobile-free, festival goers must park at the Western Coventry School, which is 1.5 miles away on Route 117, and board the FREE Bio-Diesel shuttle buses that will shuttle people back and forth throughout the day. On-site handicap parking is available for those with special needs, as well as an electric golf cart for those who who need help accessing the festival grounds throughout the day. Handicap and authorized vehicles ONLY may drive directly to the festival site at 451 Hammet Raod. Directions for handicap parking may be found here.

 

The Center

All festival attendees MUST park at Western Coventry Elementary School.

Then, take the FREE Bio-Diesel shuttle which runs back & forth all day long between the festival site and the school. Unauthorized vehicles arriving directly at Apeiron WILL be directed back to Western Coventry Elementary School to park. This is done for safety reasons and to minimize automobile traffic on the festival site. Directions below:

 

Direction to the Festival Parking Lot, from the North and East:
• Take 95 South to exit 10B Route 117 West.
• From the first stop light, drive 12.2 miles.
• At 2.3 miles, Route 117 turn right and then left at two sets of lights.
Stay on 117W!
• At 12.2 miles, Western Coventry Elementary School is on the left.

From South and West:
• Take 95 North to exit 5B Route 102 North.
• Drive 6.8 miles on Route 102 North.
• Turn right at the light onto Route 117 East.
• At 0.3 miles, Western Coventry Elementary School is on the right.

RIPTA

On Saturday only, there is RIPTA service and we have free “Riptik” passes for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) Bus 13 Arctic / Washington route re available from us on a first come, first serve basis and must be picked up from Apeiron's Providence office. This bus runs from Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence to the Job Lot in Coventry. (Please visit www.ripta.com for bus information from your point of origin to Kennedy Plaza)

You may bring a bike on all RIPTA buses and bike to and from the festival grounds. Or, we will provide shuttle service to and from the Job Lot drop-off and festival grounds. To use this service you MUST:

• Purchase your ticket in advance
• Request shuttle service by e-mail or phone at 401-228-7930 by no later than 5:00 pm on June 5th. Please give your name, phone number, and be sure to specify the arrival and departure times for which you need shuttle service. Please make sure you receive phone or e-mail confirmation.

**PLEASE NOTE – Shuttle will not be sent unless someone has specifically requested shuttle service and received confirmation in advance of travel.

Getting There by Bike
With the Providence Bicycle Coalition, we are sponsoring the second annual Bike Train to the Festival. For more information click here. You can also travel with your bike on RIPTA per above, or take bike paths and/or bikeways and rural roads to get there. More information on bikeways can be found at www.dot.state.ri.us/bikeri/.
